If you are looking for a potting bench that will only see light or moderate use, and will be sheltered from direct exposure to the elements, then this bench will probably be fine for you. However, this is the reason I didn't give the kit five stars, and I will be looking for a cover to place over it as mine will be exposed to the elements. Assembly was relatively easy and the instructions were very clear and simple to follow. I am experienced, so it only took me about an hour to put this together, but I think just about anyone could manage it in no more than two hours or so. All parts were clearly labeled/numbered, and hardware was separated by type and size to avoid any confusion.I do like the design of the bench, and the kit is made for an easy assembly process. However - and these are my opinions: 1) The materials used are relatively thin, and as such will only stand up to a moderate amount of weight and/or impact. 2) These thin materials are not likely to stand up to weathering from rain and sun for more than three or four years - unless sheltered from exposure. 3) I was disappointed to see that the plastic tub (sink) is fairly light, and had no provision for keeping it in place. You may see in my pictures that I installed a couple of small twist tabs (these are made for holding window screens in place) to hold down the lips of the tub. These were an easy fix, but very necessary where I live as we get 30-50 mph winds regularly, and the tub would have been long gone in short order.Overall, this is a nice little potting bench, and if sheltered from weather and used with care, would likely last a long time. I just wish the manufacturer used materials that were a bit heavier, which of course would add to the cost, but I think it would make a better value. We purchased this garden bench, recently. The instructions are...I guess clear enough if one is used to putting together furniture. We are not and had to rebuild the bench after initially putting it together. We sealed the entire bench with KILZ and then painted it, this lavender color to match our house exterior. We will be sealing it again with polyurethane, as well. It is a sweet little garden/potting bench.I liked it very muchExactly the item I needed to do succlent planting ?I gave it 5 stars despite the horrible instructions because overall it's exactly what I wanted. I managed, after several attempts and re-dos, to get it put together. The instructions are just wrong. I decided to write a couple of tips that might save you a ton of time and frustration.1. When assembling the drawer, start by putting the bottom into the grooves of the front and sides, BEFORE screwing the pieces together. There's no way you will fit it together afterward.2. The pieces are not labelled. This is a problem because pieces A,B, and C (These are the "legs" of the unit) need to be oriented the right way and you CANNOT TELL by the drawings. Here's a few tips. a. The two pieces with dowel holes drilled in them, go on the SHORT side, the small shelf will rest on these dowels (it's like the last step). b. Make sure the drawer slides (the wood pieces that the drawer will slide onto) are facing each other on the wider part of the unit (not the side with the sink and small shelf).3. Before securing the legs to the unit, double check you have them spaced right by lining up the long piece of wood along the back to see if it fits. Some of the legs will need to be "inside" vs "outside" of the raised wooden ridges. It's not all done the same way.4. I still didn't get it put together 100% the right way. I had to move one set of legs over further than the bolts would reach because it's the only way it would fit. But it was easy enough to secure because it attaches to several other pieces of wood to hold it in place. I feel it is secure and stable.Overall, I would recommend. I have literally bought hundreds of pieces of furniture over the years and never had a problem assembling them. Maybe it will be easier for you to assemble. Once it is together, it's exactly what I wanted. I love it so much!I think this was a really good value for the cost. It's a nice, solid table that has good storage options. The instructions for assembly are very clear and I assembled it alone in about an hour. Their customer service is responsive and very helpful too.The bench is meets the purpose. It is fairly well made but not overly. We were able to assemble fairly quickly. It should last a couple of seasons but not a long term garden accessory. The style and design is exactly how pictured and it suits my needs. I mis-read the description and assumed it was oak material, however it most likely is a light cedar or balsa. Just lightly colored oak.All pieces are labeled. Super easy to assemble. You don't really need a drill, a screwdriver will work perfectly and a 10mm wrench. The directions were perfect. If you are wanting a simple potting table, this is it. I assembled it by myself.Got this for my wife for her birthday, made huge brownie points!!Not best quality wood and assembly instructions are lacking.
