I bought this bench to use for events mostly as a prop or photo seating area. It took me more than I’d like to admit to put it together. I usually build furniture right the first time and I actually enjoy it but this one bench annoyed me a bit and I had to pause and finish it on a second day ? so if you purchase this bench please read the instructions thoroughly and check it twice maybe 5 times before placing the screws. I had to undo a few pieces a couple of times. One of the pieces that holds the bottom splintered the first time I put the screw in and after moving it, it finally broke off but is still useable. Even after finally putting the entire bench together correctly some parts were a bit loose. The wood is nice in color. The pieces themselves are a bit fragile once you handle it. I love the fact that it folds because as I mentioned, this is only used for events or dinners. I don’t have it out every day so I am hoping it lasts longer but I wouldn’t have bought it as an every day bench.It is a sturdy bench but the instructions to assemble were almost worthless. Parts are not clearly marked either. If you purchase this bench, make sure you keep the assemble picture of it. The instructions will confuse you if you dont have the picture.Parts were out of the bag and all over the box. Instructions were missing steps and I had to guess at assembly.. worst instructions ever. Had to disassemble more than once to get it right due to missing steps and poor pictures. Not very sturdy. More for casual occasional sitting or decoration.Very pretty and seems to be very sturdy. It was fairly easy to assemble, it would have been easier if the directions had words instead of just pictures.UPDATE*Bench seat slat broke on second use.....they want me to pay to send it back....it's junk and they won't stand behind it....*SELLER SENT ME A NEW LABEL PAYING FOR RETURN AND I JUST RECEIVED MY REFUND. THANKS.We wanted a small garden bench to put in the front of our home. After considerable shopping we selected this one. It arrived very quickly and we were pleasantly surprised to find it was made in Viet Nam and not China. The pieces fit perfectly, are well made, and it is very easy to assemble. The instructions are a bit light. You may want to try all of the pieces together before assembly to be sure how they go. The bench is very attractive and comfortable. Having the ability to fold this up is an added bonus making winter storage easy. We are very pleased with our purchase.
