I bought the version with the rail along the top. It came as many as described in a box which clearly indicated it was for storing guns. My box was not damaged in shipment - but it was covered with gray dirt - like it had been dragged across many warehouses. I began to push it inside the house and looked at my hands - where I touched the box my hands were dark grey. I had to unbox it outside where I was going to put it to avoid dirtying the carpet. It was packed in multiple pieces of styrofoam, which stick to the wood and make a mess.Once I had it where it was to be placed I began the assembly. Was disappointed with the small screws that are included with it and that holes are not pre-drilled for most of the screws. I drilled holes and added additional screws for the wood pieces that divide the stocks of the guns. Without those additional screws half of them wiggled.Another issue is that the long bolts that connect the end pieces by screwing into a threaded cylinder are difficult to tighten with the short Allen wrench provided. I have a few collections of Allen Wrenches, both metric and SAE - but I could not match the size of the Allen wrench that was included. Aligning the threaded cylinder is helped by the slots on what is to be the outer end of the cylinder - but it takes time to get the alignment correct and you're left with tightening the connection with the short end of the L-shaped Allen wrench.Rarely, do I have anyone helping me with assembling a product. The instructions indicate you need someone to help you by supporting the locking shelf lid that connects with three hinges and nine of the smallest screws I've ever seen. I supported the shelf with pillows on each end - but found it was going to be extremely difficult to align the hinges. To overcome this difficulty I took the center hinge off the shelf and mounted it on cabinet rail. I used an awl to better define the holes. Then I attached the center hinge to the shelf - where I had removed it. It was then not difficult to attached the outer hinges - but aided with the use of an awl to define the holes for the tiny screws.Overall, I'm satisfied with the cabinet, which is not fine furniture and had some scratches that needed to be colored. The biggest drawback in my opinion is: 1) the small irregular sized Allen wrench; 2) the tiny screws provided for assembly; 3) the lack of pilot holes or marks for the self-tapping screws; and 4) in my case the dirty box and flaking styrofoam that stuck to the wood and the house - rendering more cleanup than anticipated.
