This bench is very attractive, and the ability to fold flat means that no assembly is required, and enables convenient storage. In the abstract, this feature coukd be very convenient, but unfortunately appears to render the bench susceptible to damage.Specifically, upon receipt the rearmost slat of the first bench I received was cracked through and through at wither end where the pins that allowed the seat to fold up were inserted. These cracks widened considerably within a week of light use, rendering the seat unstable. The defective bench was returned, but unfortunately the replacement bench showed exactly the same defect right out of the box. And within a week, the cracks had again widened to the point where the bench became unstable.If you decide to order this bench, you should carefully inspect the seat at the point where it attaches to the frame. You should also keep the packing materials for at least the first couple of weeks after receipt, in the event that hairline cracks not readily visible at first become problematic after initial use.
